Baseball Recap: Saturday's Loss Ends Brownsburg's Winning Streak

Brownsburg and Center Grove squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Brownsburg had to settle for second. They came up short against the Trojans, falling 14-3. The Bulldogs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Trojans earlier this season, when they won 4-3.

Brownsburg saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Colin McNeer, who went 2-for-4 with one RBI.

The defeat snapped Brownsburg's winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 17-9 record. As for Center Grove, they are on a roll lately: they've won 18 of their last 20 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-4 record this season.

Brownsburg does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Center Grove, they will take on Franklin Community at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Grizzly Cubs will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Trojans surely won't give up without a fight.
