            Softball Preview: Randleman Tigers vs. Southwestern Randolph Cougars        
        
		
        
        
            Randleman is 1-9 against Southwestern Randolph since March of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit  on Wednesday. The Tigers will face off against the Cougars at 6:00  p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Randleman comes in on three and Southwestern Randolph on seven.
Randleman came out on top against Uwharrie Charter Academy  on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run second inning. The Tigers walked away with  an   8-5  win over the Eagles.

The team  relied heavily on  Lilah Covington, who  got on base  in three of her four plate appearances with three  runs, one  stolen base,  and one  double. Those  three  runs gave  her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of  Teanna Bostick, who  got on base  in three of her four plate appearances with two  runs, one  stolen base,  and one  RBI.

 Meanwhile,  it was a proper cat-fight when Southwestern Randolph challenged Eastern Randolph on Tuesday. The Cougars' pitchers stepped up to hand the Wildcats  a   13-0 shutout. Considering the Cougars have won eight matchups by more than seven  runs this season, Tuesday's  blowout was nothing new.
 Southwestern Randolph's victory was  their eighth straight on the road, which  pushed their record up to 13-2. The  road  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games. As for Randleman, their record now sits at 14-4.
