Winston-Salem Preparatory Academy's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They blew past the Triad Math and Science Academy Bengals 85-48. The Phoenix haven't had any issues with the Bengals recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Triad Math and Science Academy's loss came despite strong showings from Jarrett Greene and Kyl-El James. Greene posted 14 points, while James had seven points and eight assists. Kye Mattews was another key player, putting up nine points.

The win got Winston-Salem Preparatory Academy back to even at 1-1. As for Triad Math and Science Academy, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 1-1.

Looking ahead, Winston-Salem Preparatory Academy will venture away from home to take on Parkland at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Triad Math and Science Academy, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Southern Guilford at 6:30 p.m. on December 9.
