Soccer Game Preview: Northside vs. Fayetteville

Northside is 1-8-1 against Fayetteville since March of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Grizzlies will challenge the Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. Northside has given up an average of 3.9 goals per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Northside is headed into Friday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their seventh straight game on Friday. They lost 9-0 to Bentonville. While losing is never fun, Northside can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas soccer rankings (they are ranked 53rd, while Bentonville are ranked third).

Meanwhile, after soaring to six goals the game before, Fayetteville was a bit more limited in their contest on Monday. They fell just short of Rogers by a score of 2-1. Fayetteville fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against Rogers since on Monday.

Having lost for the first time this season, Fayetteville fell to 12-1-1. As for Northside, their loss dropped their record down to 2-11.

Northside might still be hurting after the 7-0 defeat they got from Fayetteville in their previous matchup on April 1st. Can the Grizzlies avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
