Volleyball Recap: Thomas Jefferson Science & Technology Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Thomas Jefferson Science & Technology was the 3-0 winner over Annandale when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Colonials took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Atoms on Thursday. While the Colonials didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Atoms 25-18 in the first set.

Thomas Jefferson Science & Technology started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 18-25, 25-18, 25-14, 25-18.

Kelsey Routman paced Thomas Jefferson Science & Technology's offense, picking up 11 kills. Routman got some help from Iris Jin and her 19 assists. Aanya Salimani controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

This is the second loss in a row for Thomas Jefferson Science & Technology and nudges their season record down to 5-8. As for Annandale, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-2.

Thomas Jefferson Science & Technology has already played their next contest (against West Springfield), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Annandale, they will square off against Lewis at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
