Softball Recap: Esparto Takes a Loss

Esparto lost against Pierce back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Esparto lost 18-5 to Pierce. The Spartans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Esparto now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Pierce, they moved to 4-5 with that win, which also ended their five-game losing streak.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Esparto will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Princeton at 4:00 p.m. on April 9. As for Pierce, they will square off against East Nicolaus at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. East Nicolaus' pitching crew has only allowed two runs per game this season, so Pierce's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
