Softball Recap: Indian Valley's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Monday

If Indian Valley was riding high fresh off their 10-3 takedown of Ridgewood last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Braves took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tuscarawas Valley Trojans on Monday. The Braves were red-hot at the plate heading into the contest (they scored no less than ten runs in the five matches prior), but the Trojans' pitcher proved too tough.

Indian Valley moved to 5-4 with that loss, which also ended their five-game winning streak. As for Tuscarawas Valley, they pushed their record up to 8-0 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Indian Valley will take on Garaway at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Pirates will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Braves surely won't give up without a fight. As for Tuscarawas Valley, they will challenge Fairless at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Falcons have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed nine runs per game on average), something the Trojans will no doubt try to take advantage of.
