Baseball Game Preview: Bishop Alemany Warriors vs. Hueneme Vikings

The Bishop Alemany Warriors will venture away from home to challenge the Hueneme Vikings at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Bishop Alemany is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.8 runs per game this season.

Bishop Alemany took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Oaks Christian, sneaking past 5-4.

Julian Martin looked comfortable as he struck out six batters over four innings while giving up three earned runs off four hits (and only one walk). Those six strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

At the plate, Bishop Alemany's win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Jayden Lusk, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Meanwhile, Hueneme was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against Moorpark, falling 12-3. That's two games in a row now that the Vikings have lost by exactly nine runs.

Bishop Alemany's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Hueneme, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4.
