Softball Game Preview: Columbia Montour Vo-Tech Rams vs. Millville Quakers

Columbia Montour Vo-Tech hasn't had much luck against Millville recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. Columbia Montour Vo-Tech will face off against Millville at 4:30 p.m. Columbia Montour Vo-Tech will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.

Columbia Montour Vo-Tech came up short against Shenandoah Valley on Monday, falling 23-8.

Rehna Wallace was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played. Taylor Nevius also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Even though they lost, Columbia Montour Vo-Tech always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .586. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive matches.

Meanwhile, Millville had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They blew past Columbia Montour Vo-Tech 20-9 two weeks ago.

Caitlyn Ludwig was excellent, scoring three runs while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances.

Columbia Montour Vo-Tech's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Millville, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.

Columbia Montour Vo-Tech might still be hurting after the 20-9 defeat they got from Millville when the teams last played two weeks ago. Can Columbia Montour Vo-Tech avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
