Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Clinton couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell 41-30 to the Eau Claire Shamrocks on Tuesday. The Red Devils' defeat signaled the end of their eight-game winning streak.

Clinton's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Nah'Shia Wright, who posted five points and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Mylayja Thompson, who had five points.

Clinton's defeat dropped their record down to 23-6. As for Eau Claire, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 18-8.

Clinton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Eau Claire, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, an 89-36 loss against Andrew Jackson on the 8th.
