Aledo is 9-1 against Azle since March of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Bearcats will welcome the Hornets at 7:00 p.m. Aledo's pitching crew has only allowed two runs per game this season, so Azle's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

If Aledo beats Azle with seven runs on Tuesday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two games with that exact score. The Bearcats blew past Granbury 7-1 on Thursday. The Bearcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by six runs or more this season.

Devin Miller spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on six hits and racked up eight Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Landon Barnes, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. Luke Gladchuk was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base.

Meanwhile, Azle didn't have quite enough to beat Brewer on Thursday and fell 2-1.

Aledo is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.1 runs over those games. As for Azle, their loss dropped their record down to 14-12.

Aledo was able to grind out a solid victory over Azle when the teams last played back in April of 2024, winning 5-1. Do the Bearcats have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Hornets turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
