Baseball Game Preview: Old Bridge Knights vs. South Brunswick Vikings

For the second straight game, Old Bridge will face off against South Brunswick. The Knights will venture away from home to take on the Vikings at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Old Bridge's pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so South Brunswick's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Old Bridge took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand South Brunswick a 7-0 shutout. The Knights might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by six runs or more this season.

John Sorrano was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. Chris Crosta also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Old Bridge now has a winning record of 10-9. As for South Brunswick, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-13.
