Volleyball Recap: Perry-Lecompton Beats Paola for Their Fourth Straight Victory

Perry-Lecompton waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Paola Panthers. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Kaws also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

Perry-Lecompton had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The final score came out to 18-25, 25-18, 25-22.

Macie Corcoran paced Perry-Lecompton's offense, picking up 17 kills. Corcoran got some help from Emmy Reed and her 31 assists. Corcoran was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Perry-Lecompton's win bumped their record up to 9-6. As for Paola, their loss ended a five-match streak of away wins and brought them to 13-2.

Perry-Lecompton has already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Osawatomie on the 27th. As for Paola, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 win against Anderson County on the 27th.
