Baseball Recap: Falls City Takes a Loss

Falls City easily dispatched Sabinal last Friday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Falls City Beavers fell just short of the D'Hanis Cowboys by a score of 6-4 on Tuesday. The Beavers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cowboys apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Falls City has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.6 runs over those games. D'Hanis' record is now 2-4.

Coming up, Falls City will host Brackett at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The match will give Brackett their first taste of in-conferenceaction this season. As for D'Hanis, they are taking a road trip to face off against Knippa at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Knippa has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.67 runs per game on average), something D'Hanis will no doubt try to take advantage of.
