Basketball Recap: Howard Comes Up Short

On Tuesday, the Howard Eagles ended up a good deal behind the Community Christian Cyclones and lost 75-58. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Community Christian found their leader in sophomore Evan Gattis, who went 11 for 16 on his way to 30 points. The match was Gattis' fourth in a row with at least ten points. Chason Bryant was another key player, dropping a double-double on 13 points and 12 rebounds.

Howard's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Community Christian, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 7-2.

Howard will head out to challenge NC GBB Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Community Christian, they will host Trinity Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
