Soccer Game Preview: Central vs. Northside

Central is 0-6-1 against Northside since April of 2017 but things could change on Monday. The Falcons will challenge the Rams at 5:30 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Central is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. They never let Paul W. Bryant get on the board and left with a 7-0 win on Thursday. Considering Central's offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Meanwhile, Northside was able to grind out a solid victory over Brookwood on Thursday, taking the game 2-0. The win continues a trend for Northside in their matchups with Brookwood: they've now won five in a row.

Olivia Stripling and Evelyn Miranda scored both of Northside's goals, bringing their combined season tally to nine goals.

Central's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-9. As for Northside, their win bumped their record up to 7-2-1.

Central suffered a grim 6-1 defeat to Northside in their previous matchup back in March of 2025. Can the Falcons avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
