After flying high against Oak Ridge last Monday, Davis Sr. came back down to earth. Davis Sr. fell 9-6 to Oak Ridge on Tuesday. The Blue Devils' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Davis Sr. got a good showing from Charlie Sheridan, who tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits.

On the hitting side, Davis Sr. saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Max O'Geen, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. Jackson Vogt was another, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Davis Sr.'s loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 6-4-1. As for Oak Ridge, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Davis Sr. beat Oak Ridge by a score of 2-0 on Thursday.
