Softball Recap: Hickory Takes a Loss

Hickory fell victim to Foard and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They came up short against the Tigers, falling 10-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-0 last Tuesday.

Hickory dropped their record down to 2-9 with the loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Foard, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-5.

Coming up, Hickory will take on West Iredell at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Warriors have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.14 runs per game on average), something the Red Tornadoes will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Foard, they will square off against North Lincoln at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Knights' pitching crew has only allowed 3.1 runs per game this season, so the Tigers' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
