Football Recap: Fort Worth Country Day Comes Up Short

Fort Worth Country Day lost against Cooper back in October of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Falcons were beaten by the Dragons 52-13. The Falcons were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 25-0.

Fort Worth Country Day's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Fox Burton, who rushed for 57 yards and one score, and also picked up 61 receiving yards. Cooper Paul was another key passer, throwing for 206 yards and one TD.

Having lost for the first time this season, Fort Worth Country Day fell to 3-1. As for Cooper, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Coming up, Fort Worth Country Day will head out to take on Greenhill at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Cooper, they will be playing at home against St. John's at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Dragons will need to watch out since the Mavericks have now posted at least 31 points in their last four games.
