Volleyball Game Preview: Whitnall Falcons vs. Kettle Moraine Lasers

The Whitnall Falcons will challenge the Kettle Moraine Lasers on Saturday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Whitnall has nine straight wins, Kettle Moraine has four straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Whitnall won the last time they faced Shorewood and Madelyn Schimmel did her part to make sure it happened again. The Falcons blew past the Greyhounds 3-0 on Tuesday for which the team can thank Schimmel, who had seven aces and one assist. She is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last three games she's played.

The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-20, 25-10.

Meanwhile, Kettle Moraine lost 3-0 to Divine Savior Holy Angels on Wednesday.

While Kettle Moraine was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Divine Savior Holy Angels' winning margin in every set. The final score came out to 25-11, 25-12, 25-16.

Whitnall's victory bumped their record up to 12-5. As for Kettle Moraine, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-15.

Whitnall came up short against Kettle Moraine when the teams last played back in October of 2018, falling 2-0. Can the Falcons avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
