University Christian was led to victory by Mason McLeod, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. McLeod pitched 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. The effort also marked the fewest walks (zero) he has had since back in April of 2024. What's more, he posted two strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2024.

Looking ahead, McLeod and University Christian will challenge Baldwin at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. McLeod has dominated as far as earned runs are concerned (he's averaged 0 per game this season), but he's got his work cut out for him considering the Indians have only allowed three per game this season.
