Bordentown came tearing into Friday's game with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 24.7 points), and they left with even more momentum. They really took it to the Pemberton Hornets for the full four quarters, racking up a 35-0 victory. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Scotties' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey football rankings (they are ranked 122nd, while the Hornets are ranked 281st).

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bordentown to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jose Santiago, who rushed for 49 yards and one touchdown. Gianni Jones helped out on the ground, rushing for 82 yards.

Bordentown's win bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Pemberton, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Bordentown will venture away from home to face off against Wall Township at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Pemberton, they will head out on the road to take on Moorestown at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Hornets will be up against the Quakers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 30.63 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
