Gilmer County came out on top against Tyler on Wednesday thanks in part to the team's impressive eight-run fourth inning. The Titans put the hurt on the Knights with a sharp 15-3 victory. The result was nothing new for the Titans, who have now won 18 matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.
Gilmer County got a massive performance out of Emeri Hickman, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI Hickman has posted since April 5th. Another player making a difference was Kenley Hartshorn, who went 1-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base.
Gilmer County pushed their record up to 21-6 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Tyler, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-16.
