Baseball Game Preview: Midway Panthers vs. Klein Cain Hurricanes

The Midway Panthers are taking a road trip to challenge the Klein Cain Hurricanes at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Midway 2.4, Klein Cain 3.1) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Midway is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They came out on top against Conroe by a score of 5-2.

Meanwhile, Klein Cain faced Rockwall in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Hurricanes walked away with a 5-2 win over the Yellowjackets. The victory was familiar territory for the Hurricanes, who have now won six matches in a row.

Chance Kirtley was incredible, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March.

Midway is on a roll lately: they've won 22 of their last 23 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 28-7 record this season. As for Klein Cain, they pushed their record up to 21-7-3 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road.
