Softball Recap: Northridge Grizzlies vs. Wellington Eagles
Northridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 14-3 to the Wellington Eagles. The Grizzlies were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played on September 5th.
Lotte Cardiel was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.
Northridge's loss dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Wellington, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 10-8 record.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Mountain View the next time they take the field. Northridge will head out to face Mountain View at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, while Wellington will host them at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
