Baseball Game Preview: Somerset Berkley Regional Raiders vs. West Bridgewater Wildcats

The Somerset Berkley Regional Raiders will challenge the West Bridgewater Wildcats at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.

On Monday, Somerset Berkley Regional needed a bit of extra time to put away Apponequet Regional. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-5 win over the Lakers.

Alex Crook was excellent, going 1-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Jayden Cruz, who went 2-for-4 with one run.

Meanwhile, West Bridgewater won against Cardinal Spellman on Friday with nine runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Monday. Everything went the Wildcats' way against Fairhaven as they made off with a 9-2 victory.

Somerset Berkley Regional pushed their record up to 8-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for West Bridgewater, their win bumped their record up to 4-5.

Everything went Somerset Berkley Regional's way against West Bridgewater in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, as Somerset Berkley Regional made off with a 7-0 victory.
