Soccer Game Preview: Turner vs. Centennial

The Turner Lions will face off against the Centennial Titans at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Last Tuesday, Turner didn't have quite enough to beat Wakeland and fell 2-1. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 193rd, while the Wolverines are ranked ninth).

Meanwhile, Centennial entered their tilt with Heritage last Tuesday with four consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with five. They never let the Coyotes get on the board and left with a 4-0 win. The Titans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matchups by three goals or more this season.

They hit Heritage with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Noah Wanzer (2), Boston Cross, and Victor Stovall.

Turner's loss dropped their record down to 8-7-4. As for Centennial, their victory bumped their record up to 13-1-4.
