Basketball Recap: Central Comes Up Short

Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They took a blow against the Pershing Doughboys, falling 48-7. The match marked the Trail Blazers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Central's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Pershing, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 12-0.

Central has already played their next contest (against Northwestern), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Pershing will head out to challenge Denby at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Denby has won five straight at home, while Pershing won five straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
