Softball Recap: Mulvane Comes Up Short

If Mulvane was feeling good fresh off their 11-4 takedown of Pratt on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Wildcats came up short against the Greenbacks on Tuesday, falling 11-5. The Wildcats were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Greenbacks earlier this season, when they won 11-4.

Kiki Warner made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Reese Lazier, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs.

Mulvane has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season. As for Pratt, their victory ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mulvane will face off against Buhler at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Pratt, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Dodge City at 4:00 p.m.
