Soccer Game Preview: Sylacauga vs. Saks

The Sylacauga Aggies will head out to take on the Saks Wildcats at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.

Sylacauga saw some tournament action on Thursday. While the 2-2 score might suggest a draw, it was Lincoln who was credited with the victory. Lincoln got it done in the shootout by posting three goals to Sylacauga's two.

Saks will roll into the matchup after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any goals last Thursday, then bounced right back against Faith Christian on Tuesday. Saks blew past Faith Christian 11-1. The win continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Lions: they've now won eight in a row.

Saks' first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Sylacauga, their loss dropped their record down to 5-3.

Sylacauga took their win against Saks in their previous meeting back in February by a conclusive 6-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Sylacauga since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
