Basketball Recap: North Bergen Takes a Loss

North Bergen was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 61-55 heartbreaker at the hands of the Union City Soaring Eagles. While losing is never fun, the Bruins can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 319th, while the Soaring Eagles are ranked 89th).

North Bergen's defeat dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Union City, they moved to 6-6 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

North Bergen didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 58-42 loss against Bayonne on the 21st. Union City has also already played their next matchup, a 63-60 win against Piscataway on the 20th.
