Baseball Recap: Three Straight Home Wins for Fannett Metal

Fannett Metal had won three straight at home, but on Wednesday they bumped their record up to 10-3 to make it four. They walked away with an 8-5 victory over the Claysburg-Kimmel Bulldogs. This was a revenge game for Fannett Metal: when they faced off against Claysburg-Kimmel on April 4th, they had to take a 9-5 defeat.

Tucker Seibert was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run. Another player making a difference was Landon Arnold, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one double.

As for Claysburg-Kimmel, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-8 record this season. They just can't catch a break and have now endured five losses in a row.

On Claysburg-Kimmel's side, Mason Campagna was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run. Brayden Haney was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fannett Metal will venture away from home to face off against Southern Fulton at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Indians will roll in looking for their 14th straight win, something Fannett Metal surely won't give up without a fight. As for Claysburg-Kimmel, they will head out on the road to square off against Southern Huntingdon County at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
