Volleyball Recap: Andover Beats Methuen for Their Third Straight Win

Andover had won two straight games and Tina Zheng did her part to make it three on Friday. The Golden Warriors put the hurt on the Methuen Rangers with a sharp 3-0 win thanks in part to Zheng, who had 33 assists and seven digs. She is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 21 or more in each of the last five games she's played.

Andover's got stronger as the match went on, holding Methuen to fewer and fewer points set over set. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-13, 25-9.

Methuen's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Caylee O'Brien, who had six kills and four digs. Aalayah Cortorreal Guerrero was another key player, getting six digs and one block.

Andover's victory bumped their record up to 16-4. As for Methuen, with the defeat, they broke their three-match winning streak and moved their record to 13-7.

As of now, neither Andover nor the Rangers have any future games scheduled.
