The Belleview Christian Bruins''s game last Friday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They took down Gilpin County 26-8. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Belleview Christian also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2022.
Among those leading the charge was Jagga Sandhu, who rushed for 38 yards and a touchdown, and also picked up 79 receiving yards. Belleview Christian also got help from Matthew Norman who showed off his sure hands for 101 receiving yards.
Belleview Christian's win bumped their record up to 4-4. As for Gilpin County, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-8.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Belleview Christian will take on Lyons at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Lyons will be coming into the match with an undefeated record on the line. As for Gilpin County, they will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Justice at 6:00 p.m. Justice is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
