After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Spring, Nimitz was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Dekaney Wildcats 21-20. The Cougars haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Ashely Guzman was a standout: she went 5-for-6 with five RBI and two runs. Another player making a difference was Aiyanna Richard, who got on base in all six of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one run.
