Pulaski Academy added to the longest winning streak in 5A Central this week by beating Mills University Studies, 50-21. The victory was the eighth in a row for the Bruins.
Pulaski Academy led the league in scoring this week by notching 50 points on the Comets. Will Hefley threw for 297 yards and 6 touchdowns during the win.
Kevin Kelley's team's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. On the ground Tre Bruce contributed 56 yards. Zack Kelley helped Pulaski Academy's passing attack out by catching 4 balls for 65 yards.
He was 23-41 with 1 interception.
Bruce was the most successful running back in the league this week. In 8 carries, he ran for 56 yards as the Bruins defeated Mills University Studies. Jack Hansen also contributed to the rushing game with 43 yards on the ground.
The top two teams in 5A Central will face off this week when first place Pulaski Academy takes on second place Sylvan Hills.
