Volleyball Recap: Cumberland Valley Eagles vs. Central Dauphin Rams
After flying high against Altoona on Tuesday, Cumberland Valley came back down to earth. The Eagles came up short against the Central Dauphin Rams on Thursday, falling 3-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Eagles in their meetings with the Rams: they've now lost four in a row.
Cumberland Valley couldn't get the win, but they sure gave Central Dauphin a tough time in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-12, 31-29.

Rachel Shipley and Vivian Verber certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Shipley had 14 digs, while Verber had four digs and one block. Shipley is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last eight games she's played. Reese Starling also deserves some recognition as she had her first digs of the season.
Cumberland Valley's loss dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Central Dauphin, their victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-3.
