Basketball Recap: UME Preparatory Academy Piles Up the Points Against Advantage Academy

UME Preparatory Academy got their first taste of in-conference action this week and they started things off strong. They simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat the Advantage Academy Eagles 48-2. The EAGLES's offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.

TJ Maye continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 5 of 6 on his way to 12 points. He has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Lemuel Moitinho Martinez, who posted nine points.

UME Preparatory Academy's victory bumped their record up to 5-10.

UME Preparatory Academy and Poetry Community Christian will face off at 4:30 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played. As for Advantage Academy, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on UME Preparatory Academy on January 16, 2025.
