After only one run in their last match, Dawson-Bryant made sure to put some runs up on the board against South Point on Wednesday. The Hornets were the clear victors by a 10-2 margin over the Pointers. The victory continues a trend for the Hornets in their matchups with the Pointers: they've now won nine in a row.

Abbie Deeds spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on four hits and racked up 13 Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than ten strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Dawson-Bryant got a massive performance out of Braelie Hitchcock, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. That's the most runs Hitchcock has posted since back in April of 2024. Izzy Kitts was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4.

Dawson-Bryant always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .548. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as South Point only posted an OBP of .154.

Dawson-Bryant now has a winning record of 4-3. As for South Point, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-2.
