Lake Forest and Milford are an even 5-5 against one another since March of 2016, but likely not for long. The Spartans will be playing at home against the Buccaneers at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. Milford took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Lake Forest, who comes in off a win.

Having struggled with four defeats in a row, Lake Forest turned things around against MOT Charter on Saturday. They never let the Mustangs get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory. Considering the Spartans' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Meanwhile, Milford faced Delmarva Christian in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Buccaneers took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Royals. The Buccaneers just can't catch a break and have now endured four losses in a row.

Lake Forest's win bumped their record up to 6-10. As for Milford, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-9.

Lake Forest beat Milford 9-5 when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Will the Spartans repeat their success, or do the Buccaneers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
