Rye has won four straight games at home, while Peyton has won four straight on the road dating back to last season, but those streaks won't matter much on Tuesday. The Thunderbolts will welcome the Panthers at 3:00 p.m. Rye is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.4 runs per game this season.
Rye will roll into the contest after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any runs on Monday, then bounced right back against St. Mary's on Tuesday. The Thunderbolts walked away with an 11-6 win over the Pirates.

Wyatt Scheid made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out nine batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off four hits. Those nine strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two RBI.
In other batting news, Branson Burbidge was excellent, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April of 2025. Nathan Gray was another key player, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 24 runs the game before, Peyton was a bit more limited in their matchup on Saturday. They fell 7-2 to Las Animas.
Bryce Love made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three stolen bases, and two runs. Peyton is 4-1 when Love posts three or more hits, but 0-3 otherwise.
Peyton has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season. As for Rye, their victory bumped their record up to 5-3.
Tuesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Rye hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .354. However, it's not like Peyton struggles in that department as they've averaged .353. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
