Basketball Recap: Covenant Academy Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Covenant Academy lost against Windsor Academy back in November and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Rams took a 64-49 bruising from the Knights.

When it comes to explaining why Covenant Academy lost, don't look at Ryan Stevens. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double with 20 points and 11 boards. That was a full 40.8% of the Rams' points, marking the fourth time in a row Stevens has posted more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lucas Fisher, who put up 14 points and seven rebounds.

Windsor Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Greg Brooks, who dropped a double-double with 11 points and 13 boards. Thanks to that strong game, Brooks now owns an excellent 47.4% field goal percentage. Bryant Davis was another key player, shooting 50% from the field on his way to 15 points along with eight rebounds and three steals.

Covenant Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Windsor Academy, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.

Covenant Academy has already played their next matchup, a 66-38 win against Central Georgia Arts on the 8th. As for Windsor Academy, they will head out to face off against Flint River Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
