 There's no place like home for Splendora, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road  last Tuesday. They walked away with  an   8-3  win over the Hargrave Falcons  on Friday. This was a revenge  match for Splendora, as the team was forced to settle for  a  7-2 loss when these two played  last Tuesday.
  Waylon Smith spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned runs on nine hits and racked up seven Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't  pitched less than six  innings in three consecutive pitching appearances.
 On the hitting side,  the team  relied heavily on  Zayne Poe, who  went 2-for-4 with three  RBI, two  runs,  and a  triple. The team also got some help courtesy of  Peyton Whaley, who  scored a  run while going 2-for-4.
 On Hargrave's side, they saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Ryder Miller, who  scored two  runs while going 3-for-3.
 Splendora's victory  ended  a  three-game drought at home  and  bumped them up to 10-14. As for Hargrave, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-7.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Splendora will  face off against Livingston at 7:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Splendora's pitching crew has only allowed four  runs per game  this season, so Livingston's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Hargrave, they will head out on the road to  take on  Hamshire-Fannett at 7:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. The pair have allowed few  runs on average, (Hamshire-Fannett: 3.9, Hargrave: 2.7) so any  runs scored will be well earned.
