Basketball Game Preview: Loudonville Redbirds vs. Danville Blue Devils

Loudonville and Danville are an even 4-4 against one another since December of 2014, but not for long. The Loudonville Redbirds will square off against the Danville Blue Devils at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Danville took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Loudonville, who comes in off a win.

Loudonville will head into Wednesday's game hoping to keep the good times rolling: they proved they can win big on Saturday (they won by 21) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Centerburg 40-37.

Meanwhile, Danville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 17th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against Northmor, falling 44-20.

Danville's defeat dropped their record down to 0-16. As for Loudonville, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 10-7 record this season.

Everything came up roses for Loudonville against Danville when the teams last played back in December of 2024, as the squad secured a 53-17 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Loudonville since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
