Baseball Recap: Osakis Comes Up Short

Osakis was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Parkers Prairie Panthers, falling 9-3. The Silverstreaks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2018.

Osakis saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Seth Staloch, who went 3-for-4 with one run. Reggie George was another, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with one run.

Osakis' loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Parkers Prairie, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-2.

Coming up, Osakis will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against St. John's Prep at 4:30 p.m. As for Parkers Prairie, they will face off against Pillager at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Huskies will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Panthers surely won't give up without a fight.
