Basketball Recap: Beaufort Takes a Loss

Beaufort lost against Goose Creek back in December of 2021 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Beaufort Eagles had to suffer through a 80-38 loss at the hands of the Goose Creek Gators. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 221st, while the Gators are ranked ninth).

Beaufort's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Goose Creek, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 10-1.

Beaufort will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Ashley Ridge at 7:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025. As for Goose Creek, they will take on Boiling Springs in a tournament on Friday. Goose Creek has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 224 points over their last three contests.
