Basketball Game Preview: St. Catherine's Angels vs. Martin Luther Spartans + How To Watch

St. Catherine is 2-8 against Martin Luther since February of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Angels will be home for the holidays to greet the Spartans at 7:00 p.m. One thing working in St. Catherine's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.

On Saturday, St. Catherine's strolled past Homestead with points to spare, taking the game 69-54.

St. Catherine's found their leader in sophomore Jayda King, who dropped a double-double with 21 points and 15 boards. Those 15 rebounds set a new season-high mark for King. Another player making a difference was Laila White, who almost dropped a double-double with 16 points and nine boards.

Meanwhile, Martin Luther played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 74-43 defeat at the hands of St. Thomas More. The game was over by the end of the first half, with no points scored by either team from that point forward.

Martin Luther's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for St. Catherine's, their victory bumped their record up to 5-1.

St. Catherine's came out on top in a nail-biter against Martin Luther in their previous matchup back in February, sneaking past 74-71. Will the Angels repeat their success, or do the Spartans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
