Softball Recap: Schuylkill Haven Comes Up Short

Schuylkill Haven lost against Williams Valley back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Hurricanes came up short against the Vikings, falling 11-3.

Schuylkill Haven saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aisley Jenan, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Schuylkill Haven's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 5-2. As for Williams Valley, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 7-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Schuylkill Haven will venture away from home to challenge Marian Catholic at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Schuylkill Haven's pitchers better be ready for this one: Marian Catholic has averaged an impressive 8.8 runs per game this season. As for Williams Valley, they will face off against Pine Grove on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Vikings 1.7, the Cardinals 2.3) so any runs scored will be well earned.
