Basketball Recap: Chelsea Academy Now 3-1 over Last Four Games

Fairfax HomeSchool came into Monday's game looking for another win against Chelsea Academy, but Cici Wingate wouldn't allow it. The Chelsea Academy Knights walked away with a 71-61 win over the Fairfax HomeSchool Hawks on Monday thanks in part to Wingate, who posted 25 points and three steals. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 15.1 points per game.

Another player making a difference was Miriam Pilon, who put up nine points. That's the most points she has posted since back in January of 2024.

Chelsea Academy has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.3 points per game. As for Fairfax HomeSchool, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 17-3.

Chelsea Academy will head out on the road to face off against Christ Chapel Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Fairfax HomeSchool, they will face off against Northern Virginia HomeSchool at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
