Football Recap: Neshaminy Starts Season with Victory Against Emmaus

Neshaminy had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They claimed a resounding 30-0 victory over the Emmaus Hornets. The game was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Skins had established a 23-point advantage.

Neshaminy had a senior duo take command as Carter Clee gained 165 total yards and two touchdowns and Michael Eckart threw for 199 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 72.7% of his passes.

Neshaminy didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Nick Sassano.

Neshaminy and Emmaus should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings. The Skins will challenge Council Rock North at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank advantage (113 vs. 347). Meanwhile, Emmaus (ranked 23rd) will meet Bethlehem Catholic (ranked 90th) at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
